Glamour Doll Eyeshadow: February 2014

Glamour Doll Eyeshadow is an indie company that makes loose eye shadow pigments. They have really cool colors, and their shadows are a really nice quality. They have a Of the Month subscription service. They're limited though. They open up every 8th of the month, and there are different options, from 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, etc. You can only subscribe to them on that day, and their subscriptions sell out fast. I was lucky enough to snag a 2 month subscription, and I'm really hoping I can snag a subscription, next month, and continue to get their products. The prices are based on how long the subscription is. I think mine is like $7.00 per month, but don't quote me.

This was this months bag, a nice pink silky bag, that's perfect for Valentine's Day.

Inside the bag was this: sugar baby candies that I've already eaten [yet I haven't touched any of my Valentine's Day Chocolate, at all], the pigment of the month, and a "Shimmer Serum."

"Shimmer Serum" is, and I quote: " a slightly sticky liquid filled with micro fine glitter & inspired by mythological creatures. Appears white in the vial, but shows up a dazzling shimmery gold, when applied to the skin. Can be used on bare skin or over shadows."

The color I got was: Centuar's Wisdom

I attempted to blend it on my hand to show off, but it was very clear, and the gold only shows up a tiny bit. I personally like this product. It reminds me of the glitter roll on tubes that I totally rocked at sleep-away camp in the 90's, and I'm excited to see what it looks like over shadows.

This month's color was Reckless Devotion, a pale shimmery pink with copper and gold shifts.

This is it swatched on my hand.

I normally don't really like pink, but I like this pink. It's pale enough that it can almost appear as a neutral, and I like the gold shimmer in it, although you can barely see it in my picture. This pink will be worn.

I highly recommend Glamour Doll Eyes. They're very affordable, for those beauty product lovers, on a budget, and their stuff is very high quality. If you're into bright colored eye-shadow, they're really a great place to check out.

Glamour Doll Eyes: January

Glamour Doll Eyes is an eyeshadow company that make pretty funky bright colored eyeshadows out of all natural ingredients.  I've read a lot about them, and was always interested to try their products. They have an eyeshadow of the month subscription and I finally got the opppourtunity to try them.

They have very limited spots in their monthly color program. It usually opens up on the 8th of a month, and then you can choose either a one month, two month, four month, or six month subscription. The spots fill up very fast, I happened to be lucky and I snagged a spot in the two-month slot.

I got my January color of the month today.

It fit in my tiny apartment mailbox, which made me happy. In the envelope was this.

Inside the bag was this, and I love how the laffy taffy matches the bag and eye-shadow color perfectly.  The laffy taffy did not last very long after these pictures were taken.

January's color was social suicide. On the color are the ingredients, the name of the color, and it also tells that all products are vegan.
This is the color next to the laffy taffy. To me the color is the perfect Tardis blue, which makes this Doctor Who fan very pleased. It's a bright blue color with silver sparkles.

Here's a swatch on my arm, done without primer,  just put on. You can very much see how bright the color is, the silver sparkles, and how hairy my arm is.

This is the color on my eyes. Please ignore the smeared mascara and eyeliner. This is my, I just finished school, tested pre-k students for 7 hours, and attempted to cook my fiance lasagna look. It's a really beautiful color, and it brings out my blue eyes very nicely, and I really like how it looks.

So, overall, I'm really pleased with my first color of the month. I mean how can I not love a company that sends me candy? They have a lot of really cool colors too, and they're definitely worth checking out if you like bright glittery eye-shadows. So check out Glamour Doll Eyes if you get a chance :)
